John Shuba 8-24-03 Hi David, Note: 353 is a son of "1245" 1173 "Ohio Girl" A young (1173) out of 353 (the bird I won) and 287 (Sister to Einstein) won the Penn Ohio Combine 50 Lofts 1,453 birds.Speed was 1262.491 our other bird was 2nd combine 1261.336 the 3rd place finisher flew 1249.486 We won this weeks race with another young (884) out of the same pair. I will update you with combine results from this race next week. I heard through the grape vine that we beat for other clubs but their may be one club that had some birds that beat us. John Shuba 8-17-03 Hi David, We had our first 2 races up here. The first race we finished 4th and 6th in the club our 1st bird was from Jesse Wu the second was from you. We finished 39th and 41st combine. 46 lofts 1,212 birds. The second race we finished 1st club 14 lofts and 443 birds. I don't know where we finished in the combine yet. Both birds were from the bird I won and the hen you selected for me. My father won 4th this race with a young out of the son from the old hen you gave me, when mated to 551. Let me give you a little history Note: 551 brother to "Razorback" When I got my first birds from you (551 and the old hen) My father, one of my brothers (Mike) and I were flying out of one loft with one club, the Washington Racing Pigeon Club. Since then, my other brother (Kevin) has gotten into racing. Him and I fly out of a loft that he built at his house and my brother and father fly from my fathers loft. We now fly from 2 different clubs. The Washington Club in the Pittsburgh Southern Combine, who's first race is the 23rd of this month and the East Liverpool Club which flys in the Penn Ohio Combine. The first race from the East Liverpool Club my father finished 1,2,and 3rd. And my brother and I finshed 4th and 6th. John Shuba 8-24-03 Hi David, Note: 353 is a son of "1245" 1173 "Ohio Girl" A young (1173) out of 353 (the bird I won) and 287 (Sister to Einstein) won the Penn Ohio Combine 50 Lofts 1,453 birds.Speed was 1262.491 our other bird was 2nd combine 1261.336 the 3rd place finisher flew 1249.486 We won this weeks race with another young (884) out of the same pair. Hi David, It's a good news for you. The Bali island race 980 km I still won the 1, 3, 4, 5, 7. The Daughter of Dekas won 5, Son of Hofkens (CBL 03-468) won 7. Another son of Dekas also come back home only speed lower. It's mean Dekas and Hofkens can flew long distance. They were arrived home on Saturday 11:00 am. In the race day (Friday), all Jawa Island weather very bad, East, middle and west Java were raining. Jakarta also raining. They still can fly back home even under bad weather. I'm very lucky my birds still can won the race. Few member lost all their birds. The last post Lombok Island, our club cancell this race cause there were remain only few birds. The result of this year's race, your birds were very superior. Post 1. 286 km Son of hofkens won 5th place. Post 2. 343 km son of hofkens won 1st place. Post 3. 426 km daughter of dekas won 1st. son of Hofkens won 2 and 3 (equal 1st, all arrive together) Post 4. 682 km Son of hofkens won 1st.
